Am vazut aseara, alaturi de Prietenii TVR2, un nou film in premiera: Eroii Monumentelor (Monuments Men), un film regizat de George Clooney (primul!), cu o distributie impresionanta si bazat pe fapte reale.
Daca le iei oamenilor arta, le iei sufletul si cu greu ar putea merge inainte. Cladirile distruse se refac, ori se construiesc altele in locul lor, dar arta face parte din esenta oamenilor, iar daca arta le-ar fi luata, ar ramane doar cenusa in urma.
Eroii Monumentelor este un film de razboi, drama, cu actiune, care spune povestea unor oameni trecuti de prima tinerete – si fara mare experienta de razboi – care doresc sa ajute la recuperarea si returnarea operelor de arta furate de nemti. Hitler voia sa faca un Muzeu al Fuhrer-ului care sa contina cele mai importante opere de arta din lume. Astfel de piese de valoare erau furate din biserici si manastiri, din muzee, din casele oamenilor si apoi trimise cu camioane in Germania.
Avem asadar un film cu niste “vanatori de comori”, insa niste comori universale, dupa cum chiar filmul sugereaza. Sapte oameni – directori de muzee, artisti si critici de arta – incearca sa faca tot ceea ce este posibil pentru a gasi operele de arta furate.
Nu toti reusesc sa supravietuiasca incercarii, de altfel intrebarea “a meritat sa moara oameni pentru arta?” revine in film, iar raspunsul este pozitiv de fiecare data.
Clooney il interpreteaza pe George Stout, cel care vine cu ideea unei echipe care sa salveze operele de arta. Ceilalti membri ai echipei sunt interpretati de mari nume precum Bill Muray, Matt Damon, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin, Bob Balaban si Hugh Bonneville. In film apare si Cate Blanchett intr-un rol interesant si vital pentru operatiune.
Sigur, filmul poate fi “acuzat” ca include numeroase clisee specifice productiilor holywoodiene, insa reuseste sa fie mai dinamic decat un film obisnuit despre razboi si sa prezinte un subiect interesant, o echipa cu siguranta mai putin cunoscuta de contemporani si, mai ales, de tineri (atentie si la finalul filmului, apropo de acest element).
Mi-a placut insa ideea si realizarea, dincolo de elementele acestea cliseu, astfel ca nu pot decat, pe de o parte, sa multumesc TVR 2 si Odeon pentru invitatie si, pe de alta parte, sa va recomand filmul, mai ales daca va place genul sau ideea si va dorriti sa il vedeti. Nu lipsesc momentele de suspans, nu lipsesc replicile care or sa va aduca un zambet pe buze, dar nici momentele dramatice, specifice razboiului.
