La inceputul lunii septembrie am ajuns, pentru o zi, in Brasov.
Cum era o zi de luni, evident ca o parte din atractiile turistice ale orasului erau inchise. Asa se face ca am vazut Biserica Neagra doar din exterior (iar:P) . Dar m-am plimbat prin oras, am ajuns si pe Tampa, am colindat prin centrul vechi si am stat si in parc.
Cand am ajuns eu la punctul unde se ia telecabina de la baza Tampei am constatat ca mai era ceva timp (aproape o ora) pana incepea programul. Cum, din pacate, recuperarea dupa operatia de la genunchi la mine nu a mers asa cum ar fi trebuit, nici nu se punea problema sa plec pentru a reveni acolo dupa o ora. Asa ca m-am asezat pe o banca. Am ascultat cu atentie detaliile despre bastion furnizate constant, am facut cateva fotografii, dar dupa o perioada am decis sa citesc.
Ca intotdeauna cand calatoresc, chiar si pentru o zi, aveam o carte cu mine. Evident, una mica, sa nu ocupe mult loc in geanta aparatului foto (singura pe care o luasem cu mine si care continea tot ce imi trebuia).
Aveam asadar o carte de Agatha Christie, din seria Hercule Poirot: Cum bate valul.
Asa ca am inceput povestea politista care debuteaza cu o frantura dintr-o discutie care pare a nu avea legatura cu nimic, insa evidentiaza povestea unei persoane care moare in timpul unui raid.
“Cum bate valul” este insa un roman politist in stilul cunoscut si apreciat al Agathei Christie, cu o tesatura de povesti de viata si amanunte care duc la un final neasteptat. Gordon Cloade este ucis intr-un raid deasupra Londrei, iar averea lui intra in posesia tinerei sale sotii, Rosaleen. Pana aici nimic spectaculos, insa ani la rand Gordon isi ajutase cu sume insemnate rudele, ba chiar le indemnase sa nu agoniseasca, sugerandu-le ca nu vor avea “grija zilei de maine”, ca va avea el grija de toti. Moartea sa si faptul ca averea ajunge pe mainile lui Rosaleen, fac insa ca totul sa se complice, iar toate rudele se gasesc la ananghie. Unele dintre personaje isi calca pe inima si merg la Rosaleen sa ii ceara bani cu imprumut, altele, se pare, planuiesc sa scape de ea. Un frate protector, un trecut interesant si crime suspecte fac ca Hercule Poirot sa nu aiba o sarcina usoara in incercarea lui de a afla adevarul cu privire la mortile care apar, dar si la soarta averii.
In timp ce citeam – evident nu am lecturat povestea intr-un singur loc – asteptand sa inceapa programul telecabinei dintr-o data incep sa cada niste coji verzi (si nu numai) din pom. Cand ma uit, fix deasupra mea, o veverita manca – am povestit si pus poze aici. Recunosc, m-a amuzat teribil momentul!
Dupa ce am mers cu telecabina, am mai dat o tura prin oras, iar apoi m-am oprit in parcul mare – cel din fata hotelului Aro. Era soare, cald, iar o banca aflata la umbra a fost locul perfect pentru a manca un covrig si pentru a termina de citit cartea.
O zi asadar interesanta si un roman citit in aer liber. O senzatie placuta – de fapt, pentru astfel de momente mi-am dorit mereu sa am din nou o casa la curte, cu iarba, cu terasa si cu flori!
