Tuturor – sau celor mai multi – ne place sa calatorim. In functie de resurse si posibilitati vedem mai multe sau mai putine locuri din aceasta lume extraordinara. Adesea insa, atunci cand planificam o vizita (sau chiar in procesul de alegere a unei destinatii), ne uitam dupa cele mai cunoscute obiective turistice.

Asocierea cu unul sau mai multe elemente devine importanta: sunt simboluri care atrag – asa cum in Romania atrage ideea de a vedea castelul lui Dracula, de a vedea Palatul Parlamentului, blocurile comuniste etc.
Exista desigur posibilitati numeroase de a calatori: putem alege sa vizitam aceste elemente specifice ale unui oras, putem sa ne plimbam pe strazi pur si simplu, descoperind locuri care nu sunt poate incluse in ghidurile turistice insa care ne permit sa ii vedem pe oamenii de acolo dincolo de zonele turistice sau putem imbina cele doua variante si sa vedem si ceva obiective cunoscute, dar si sa vedem orasul din afara ghidurilor.
S-ar putea sa ne placa tot ceea ce vom vedea in afara obiectivelor turistice, dar s-ar putea la fel de bine sa descoperim ca acele obiective erau de fapt tot ce avea mai bun locul respectiv.
In acelasi timp, s-ar putea sa constatam ca anumite imagini si poze ale unui loc sunt singurele care ii fac cinste, ca alte perspective ale unui monument (un alt unghi din care sa fie facute pozele) arata mizeria din jurul lui de pilda. S-ar putea de asemenea sa ne aducem aminte ca imaginile nu surprind tot si sa descoperim ca un anumit loc arata bine in poze, dar miroase oribil (mi-a povestit cineva despre o asemenea experienta in acelasi timp frumoasa si dezamagitoare). S-ar putea sa aflam ca unele locuri sunt frumoase in poze, dar ca realitatea este ca nu esti deloc in siguranta in acea tara astfel ca poate e mai bine sa ramai doar la a admira online niste poze facute altii. In fine, sunt mai multe variante, e clar 🙂
Unii critica aceste simboluri si spun ca in fapt calatoriile sunt in afara lor. Si totusi, multi vor sa vada picturile de la Louvre, piramidele etc. Ce ne-am face insa fara asemenea elemente care sa atraga turisti? Din punct de vedere al imaginii si marketingului ar fi o adevarata “crima” sa nu fie astfel de locuri. Un principiu de baza de altfel aminteste despre pozitionarea in mintea consumatorului, ori daca nu te asociezi cu unul sau mai multe elemente atunci nu ai nicio sansa sa castigi lupta atragerii turistilor.
Dincolo insa de teorii, marketing si simboluri sunt curioasa ce alegeti voi: sa vedeti obiective turistice anume dintr-un loc sau sa calatoriti undeva pentru a descoperi oamenii si peisajele, sau imbinati aceste doua optiuni in calatoriile voastre?
