Tin sa precizez de la bun inceput ca aceasta este una dintre acele postari pe care m-am gandit indelung daca sa o public. Este un material in care voi mentiona in mod explicit numele institutiei la care fac referire, iar articolul nu este cu motive de lauda. Imi pare sincer rau ca am ocazia sa scriu acest articol, dar ma gandesc ca, poate, tragand suficiente semnale de alarme se poate face ceva.
O sa incep prin a va spune ca acum vreo 9 ani, inainte chiar de a-mi crea agentia!, impreuna cu o prietena aveam ideea de a ajuta muzeele de la noi sa aiba niste site-uri mai bine organizate, mai atractive, bine puse la punct si macar cu versiuni romana-engleza. Am si facut o propunere unui mare muzeu important de la noi, le-a placut in linii mari, dar la final ne-au spus ca nu pot lucra cu o agentie mica, cu oameni tineri, ca de acel muzeu demni a se ocupa sunt doar oameni deja cu renume si pot lucra pentru ei doar agentii mari. Nu mai conteaza numele acelui muzeu, dar recunosc ca mi-a lasat un gust amar experienta.
De atunci, unele muzee au site-uri puse la punct, atractive. Insa altele nu.
Inainte de a merge mai departe, o sa va rog sa va ganditi o clipa daca, atunci cand planificati o vizita intr-o alta tara si doriti sa vedeti anumite muzee sau obiective turistice, nu cautati cumva informatii despre acele locuri si daca, in cazul in care nu cunoasteti limba acelei tari (italiana, spaniola, olandeza etc.) nu va doriti ca site-urile oficiale ale muzeelor sa aiba prezentari disponibile si in engleza.
Eu imi doresc sa existe astfel de siteuri si foarte rar mi s-a intamplat sa nu gasesc versiuni in engleza si site-uri bine puse la punct ale unor muzee sau alte puncte turistice.
In plus, adesea cand vorbim despre locuri cunoscute si promovate la nivel international, gasim si numeroase articole – de la TripAdvisor la sectiunile speciale ale unor publicatii precum CNN, The Telegraph etc. si pana la articole pe bloguri, toate in engleza, eventual si cu sfaturi. La noi insa si despre locurile de la noi nu sunt atat de multe materiale, mai ales unele cu o prezentare cat mai pozitiva.
Revenind insa la muzeul la care fac referire, o sa va spun ca este vorba despre unul dintre cele mai vizitate muzee din Bucuresti. Si nu doar de catre turisti straini, ci si de la noi din tara. Si noi am avut cativa prieteni pe care i-am dus acolo, noi insine mergand de cateva ori la acest muzeu, mereu cu drag. O prietena virtuala facuta prin intermediul blogului de calatorii tocmai a venit in Romania si i-am recomandat sa mearga si la muzeul acesta cand este in Bucuresti, insa a trebuit sa ii ofer eu informatiile in engleza pentru ca site-ul… ei bine site-ul poate fi parcurs de cineva care nu vorbeste limba romana doar cu ajutorul Google Translate.
Este vorba despre site-ul Muzeului National al Satului Dimitrie Gusti, site pe care am intrat recent, asa cum spuneam si pe care l-am gasit schimbat fata de versiunea de acum cativa ani de cand am prezentat si recomandat muzeul pe Travel – Moments in Time. Culorile sunt diferite (atunci era mai mult galben, culori de toamna, acum este mult verde – insa o sa vedeti: textele sunt prea lungi, nu exista multe imagini unde ar trebui, nu exista versiune in engleza (un punct minus extrem de important).
Intotdeauna cand am mers la acest muzeu am vazut mai multi turisti straini decat romani. In fiecare weekend, cand mergem la padure la Baneasa, trecand cu masina pe langa intrarea la muzeu vedem o multitudine de autocare. Turistii vin, sigur multi adusi direct de agentii.
Dar sunt si oameni care viziteaza orasul facandu-i propriile planuri si rezervari. Este pacat ca un asemenea muzeu nu are site-ul pe care il merita si, daca tot veni vorba, nici promovarea pe care o merita! Si da, aici vorbesc din perspectiva omului de marketing si comunicare, dar si din cea a omului care vede multe activitati cu care alte tari ies in evidenta si isi promoveaza locuri mai mult sau mai putin valoroase in intreaga lume atragand anual multi turisti.
Asa cum spuneam, imi pare rau ca articolul de astazi este cu un exemplu de asa nu, si sper doar ca materialul sa ajunga acolo unde trebuie si se schimbe in bine lucrurile (la acest muzeu si la multe altele).
Ne place cum stau lucrurile pe-afara. Ne uitam uneori cu jind la cozile mari de la intrarea din muzee din alte capitale sau orase ale Europei sau lumii. Dar de ce nu facem macar cele mai mici eforturi de a atrage si noi turistii? Dorinta de a fi cautati asa cum sunt altii nu este suficienta! Experienta trebuie sa fie placuta din toate punctele de vedere!

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
