Am gasit acest citat pe Facebook si mi-a placut pentru ca arata ca, mult inainte de studii si teorii de comunicare, importanta imaginii proprii era cunoscuta de persoanele importante. Stiu, Giacomo Casanova este cunoscut mai mult ca fiind un mare cuceritor, persoana care a fermecat multe doamne. Citind mai demult pentru un seminar niste scrieri despre el si memoriile lui, am gasit si un context pentru toate actiunile sale. Intr-adevar avusese multe relatii cu diverse doamne influente, dar adesea acestea erau singurul mijloc de a obtine diverse favoruri ulterioare, inclusiv scrisori de recomandare. Nu ma apuc sa fac insa aici un eseu despre Giacomo Casanova, o sa subliniez insa doar faptul ca el stia cat de important este modul in care te percep ceilalti.
Ca mai toata lumea, citesc si eu diverse bloguri, de la noi si din strainatate. Sunt bloguri cu subiecte diferite, chiar cu teme diferite. Dar, prin fiecare mesaj publicat online, pe blog sau in cadrul retelelor de socializare, fiecare persoana isi creeaza o imagine sau, mai corect spus, induce o imagine despre sine. Aceasta, in functie de claritatea mesajului si nu numai, poate fi receptionata in modul in care este transmisa ori distorsionat.
Privind imaginea din aceasta perspectiva, probabil ca fiecare blogger ar trebui sa se intrebe ce imagine despre sine doreste sa proiecteze, cum doreste sa fie vazut de cititori.
Sigur, nu inseamna imaginea transmisa/creata online de o persoana este o copie fidela a modului in care este acea persoana in viata de zi cu zi. Chiar recent o persoana care calatorea mult (travel blogger) si avea un blog foarte cunoscut si apreciat, unde isi povestea experienta dorind ca si alti oameni sa fie motivati sa isi traiasca viata asa cum vor si sa calatoreasca, s-a sinucis recent. Postarile sale dadeau de inteles ca totul este bine, ca lucrurile merg minunat. O singura insemnare, cea mai recenta, dadea de inteles ca are probleme in dragoste si ca este trista din acest motiv – iar apoi s-a aflat vestea si multi dintre cei care o citeau, chiar daca nu o intalnisera, au fost socati. Fireste, cei care o vazusera si povesteau despre optimismul si increderea ei si ce impresia lasata, au fost si mai consternati sa afle de sinucidere.
Sigur, acesta este un exemplu cu o diferenta destul de mare intre imaginea proiectata si realitate. Exista si diferente mai fine, care pot fi percepute mai greu si in realitate. Chiar recent ma uitam pe blogul cuiva de la noi care pozeaza in persoana puternica, dar care, intr-o anume imprejurare, s-a purtat exact in contradictie cu aceasta imagine. As putea adauga si ca nu este vorba despre conditii extreme, despre ceva care ameninta viata sau est dramatic, chiar eu trecand prin ceva similar (de fapt chiar mai dificil din anumite puncte de vedere). Dar, ceea ce pentru unii pare o prapastie, este doar o mica groapa peste care altii sar fara a se plange si fara a considera ca trebuie sa li se ridice o statuie, ori sa aiba toata lumea la picioare, gata oricand sa ii ajute.
Dar ne indepartam de subiect – sau intram pe niste terenuri cu nisipuri fine, daca imi este permisa comparatia. Sa revenim insa la imagine. Daca doriti ca oamenii sa aiba despre voi o anumita impresie, sa va perceapa intr-un anume fel, atunci fiti atenti la ceea ce transmiteti. Daca doriti sa pozati in tanar respectuos si cu bun simt, dar publicati materiale cu multe injuraturi, de exemplu, atunci s-ar putea ca oamenii sa aiba alta impresie despre voi decat cea pe care doriti sa o aiba.
Atentie asadar la ce lasati sa stie lumea despre voi si la modul in care comunicati (pe blog si nu numai).
