Cat de lunga e cartea pe care o citesti/ai citit-o recent?
Imi spunea cineva recent ca nu mai are rabdare sa citeasca acele carti care au peste 150 de pagini. Recunosc ca m-am uitat mirata la acea persoana eu citind recent unele de peste 500 sau 700 si tocmai primind una (care urmeaza a fi citita foarte curand) de peste 600 de pagini.
Discutia nu era cu privire la carti din domeniul de activitate – acelea din care se presupune ca inveti ceva – ci se axa pe lucrari de beletristica sau de alt fel, mai putin cele de “munca”.
O alta problema ridicata de persoana in cauza era ca nu citeste cartile care n-au dialog – ca nu are rabdare sa mai citeasca descrieri de peisaje, drumuri si altele cum erau in cartile autorilor de pe vremuri. Evident ca am intrebat daca in acest caz ar trebui sa inteleg ca in afara de beletristica nu citeste nimic altceva (ma refer la carti). Si a zis ca da.
Nu stiu cum e la voi, dar eu atunci cand am in mana o carte care reuseste sa ma captiveze – fie roman, fie lucrare de alt gen – nu conteaza cate pagini are. Daca imi place subiectul, daca ma atrage povestea si modul in care este scrisa (atunci cand vorbim de romane) le citesc pe nerasuflate. Si e suficient sa va uitati la cate carti sunt prezentate pe Books Wave si sa tineti cont ca mai citesc si pe langa cele infatisate acolo.
Asa ca vin si va intreb: Cat de lunga e cartea pe care o citesti/ai citit-o recent? Si ce te determina sa incepi si sa termini o carte mai lunga (indiferent de genul ei)?

Ultima carte pe care am citit-o avea 478 de pagini si am terminat-o in doua nopti. Avand in vedere ca sunt oarecum adept al stilului SF, cartea m-a captivat din prima si chiar nu m-am lasat pana nu am terminat-o (Chrichton – Sfera).
In schimb, nu am avut rabdare sa citesc Adam si Eva de Rebreanu, care vorba ceea, cica e carte buna… nu m-a prins si gata.
Ca sa citesc o carte (indiferent de marimea ei) trebuie sa am starea de spirit empatica acelei carti. Timpul nu e o problema
ps: inca nu a reusit sa ma prinda de tot Duma Key de St King. Am ramas pe la pagina 211 de vreo 2 saptamani.
Acum citesc “Zapada de primavara” de Yukio Mishima, e o poveste de dragoste frumoasa, trista, emotionanta. Nu stiu cate pagini are , n-am tinut cont niciodata de asta . Daca imi place cartea, o citesc foarte repede, dintr-o suflare:) Nu am stare, liniste, somn pana nu o termin, intru intr-un soi de transa, ma desprind de lumea inconjuratoare. Cand revin la realitate e mai greu:)) Daca sunt carti pe care trebuie sa le citesc si nu sunt tocmai pe placul inimii mele, le citesc pana la capat, nu le abandonez dar lecturarea e mai greoaie.
Oricum, important este sa-ti placa sa citesti, gandurile, randurile, cuvintele din carti, sa miste ceva in inima ta, in mintea ta, in lumea ta , sa-ti aduca bucurie, sa te faca sa privesti viata cu alti ochi, in alte culori. Astfel devii mai intelept, mai bun, mai frumos. Cu o carte, printr-o carte:)
Aaa, am citit si eu Sfera – si da, tot asa repede.
In rest ai dreptate: e vorba si de stare, dispozitie, moment etc.
Insa ma sperie inchiderea unora si lipsa macar a unei minime dorinte de a descoperi. Cum sa nu citesti ceva care nu are dialog (adica un roman mai fara dialog sau o carte care nu e de beletristica)?
Oare chiar e totul numai fuga in zilele noastre? Nu mai avem rabdare si disponibilitate?
@corin_a Frumos grait-a/scris-ai tu! Si intelept. Si da, atunci cand e musai trebuie sa citim pana la capat si sa incercam sa descoperim ce e ascuns acolo in paginile cartii de spunem ca nu ne place sau nu ne atrage. Ulterior macar putem spune ca ne-a placut sau nu si din ce motiv.
Si da, sunt carti din care poti invata chiar si cum sa nu te comporti sau ce sa nu accepti. Dar toate isi au rostul lor in viata si educatie 🙂
Daca tot am vorbit de carti , iti recomand ” Venit pe lume” de Margaret Mazzantini si ” Daca m-as asculta, m-as intelege” de Jacques Salome & Sylvie Galland.

Herta Muller, Animalul Iubirii, 229 pagini, am citit-o pe avion.
Nu cred ca as mai avea starea necesara sa termin o carte ca Shogun, a inceput sa-mi placa tot mai mult proza scurta.
Ultima carte citita a fost “Zece negri mititei” de Agatha Christie, care avea cam 250 pagini, iar pen’ultima a fost “Om bogat, om sarac” de Irwin Shaw care are ca, 900 pagini.
Nu cred ca numarul de pagini te poate determina sa citesti sau nu o carte, pentru ca daca e o carte interesanta, cu greu o vei lasa din mana.
Întradevăr lungimea cărții nu este singurul element care determină cât de repede o citești. Ultima carte terminată are vreo 600 de pagini și când am început-o mă gândeam că o să-mi ia săptămâni întregi să o termin pentru că înainte doar ce citisem Starship Troopers și mi-a luat aproape o lună :). Dar totuși am terminat-o în vreo 10 zile.
Nici măcar faptul că îți place o carte nu este determinant până la urmă. M-am chinuit să termin “City at the End of Time” cred că vreo 3 luni și am mai citit vreo 2-3 cărți în perioada asta. Deși mi-a plăcut pur și simplu a fost foarte greu de citit și o lăsam la urmă întodeauna.
Ultima carte pe care am citit-o avea, mai exact, 396 de pagini. Se chema Bora Bora, de Alberto Vasquez-Figueroa, si mi-a placut extrem de mult, in ciuda numarului de pagini. De ceva vreme as vrea sa ma apuc de Portretul unei doamne, de Henry James, si stiu ca e mare. Tocmai asta ma inhiba, intr-o oarecare masura. Stiu ca nu e deloc corect sa gandesc cat de mult o sa-mi ia pana sa termin o carte cu multe pagini…dar nu ma pot abtine sa-mi treaca ideea asta prin minte. Vreau sa aflu cat mai repede ce se petrece, sunt extrem de curioasa o data ce un roman incepe sa ma fascineze, si trebuie sa fie foarte interesant ca sa pot citi 1000 de pagini despre asta. 🙂
