Tanya Byron spune ca la tineri – dintre care 65% sufera de lipsa somnului – apar hiperactivitatea si alte comportamente nedorite. Ea a mai spus ca adolescentii dau vina pe presiune si anxietate pentru faptul ca nu dorm suficient. Un alt motiv important este ca stau la calculator sau folosesc telefoanele mobile pana tarziu in noapte.
Iata asadar ca somnul este intr-adevar extrem de important pentru o buna dezvoltare a copiilor nostri. Sunt sigura ca si noi ne simtim bine atunci cand apucam sa dormim atat cat ne trebuie. Avem si mai multa energie cand suntem cu adevarat odihniti.
