O PRista a fost concediata in urma unui tweet publicat in cadrul retelei de micro-blogging, iar contul i-a fost suspendat. Mai mult, mesajul a dat nastere unor discutii in cadrul retelelor de socializare si a adus numele respectivei persoane in atentia unor publicatii importante.
Ce s-a intamplat?
Justine Sacco, omul de relatii publice al InterActiveCorp (care detine, printre altele, Daily Beast, Vimeo, About.com, Match.com si Ask.com), a postat acest mesj pe Twitter:

Da, ati citit bine. Aici ar merita sa fie amintit si faptul ca domnisoara in cauza, in trecut, a mai spus si:

Tweet-ul legat de Africa a dat insa nastere unor reactii aprige si totul a luat o intorsatura deloc placuta pentru Sacco. Cand a ajuns in Africa ea a remarcat deja ca al ei cont fusese sters si ca fusese concediata.
In momentul in care reprezentantii companiei au remarcat reactiile pe care le-a starnit tweet-ul de mai sus, a oferit un punct de vedere oficial in care s-a dezis de comentariul rasist al angajatei, dar a incercat (dupa cum vedeti mai jos) sa tempereze vehementa celor care au comentat:

Ce este important de retinut este faptul ca, daca nu doresti sa creezi un scandal si/sau sa fii concediat, atunci trebuie sa ai mare grija la ce publici in cadrul retelelor de socializare.
